Mini Talon - T1000FC Post Flight Report
I fitted the T1000FC flight controller to my Mini Talon and initial testing didn't exactly go to plan - the position of the GPS and the control box made the plane very tail heavy so I had to spend some time fettling it with a few extra nose weights (my DVR and a battery!) to get her to fly well again.
I also had to change from using two aileron wires to a Y-lead for the stabilisation to work, which meant reversing one of my servos. Unfortunately it looks like I didn't quite line it up correctly when refitting the linkages so the plane wanted to constantly bank left even with full trim so I need to sort that out.
Having said that, the stability control (I flew without GPS this time) worked brilliantly with no drama even with the roll issue, so I'm confident that the next flight will be even better once I've:
Repositioned the GPS to the front of the plane
Sorted the aileron servo out and adjusted the trims
Looking forward to tomorrow mornings flying :)
