Initial ZOHD Dart Thoughts ...

Banggood sent me the KIT version of this aircraft to review.

While I wasn't impressed with the plastic motor mount (which has sheared off 3 times now) the plane flies well enough that I'm willing to come up with a solution to fix it and get it back in the air.

RATING: 3.5 out of 5 (if they fix the motor mount, it'll easily be a 4 out of 5 - although I do wish there was a way to mount a HD camera such as a Mobius).

GOOD:
- Flies nicely (fast and manoeuvrable)
- Good quality foam, very tough
- Well thought out airframe with detachable wings + stabilisers
- Good, accessibly cockpit hatch with plenty of space inside.
- Small enough to keep in the car for quick flights
- Very powerful with the ZOHD 2006/2400kv motor, 6x4 prop and 30A ESC combo

BAD:
- Very fragile motor mount
- Wing spar snapped easily
- CoG marks didn't represent the best place for balancing the plane.
- Nowhere to mount a HD camera such as a Mobius
